Phantom Blade Zero (PBZ) is an action game in which the gear you equip shapes how you fight. This page explains the main types of in-game items so you know what each one does before you start looking for upgrades.

PBZ gear falls into four groups:

Primary weapons

Your main weapon and the core of your playstyle. Different primary weapons change how you attack, so this is usually the first choice to make when building your character.

Secondary weapons (Phantom Edges)

Phantom Edges are secondary weapons that work alongside your primary weapon and add extra options in combat.

Accessories: talismans, pendants and wards

Accessories support your build with stat bonuses and special effects. Talismans, pendants and wards are separate accessory types, so check what each one offers before you equip it.

Upgrade and temper materials

Materials used to strengthen your weapons and gear. Planning your material use early helps you avoid wasting resources on equipment you later replace.
