Blood Harvest is a new activity in Season of Blood. Blood Harvest lasts for 60 minutes, occupying a unique area of the shelter each time it starts. Players need to travel to the affected areas to take part in the event by defeating enemies and completing objectives.
Our Blood Harvest guide here contains all the current information about this new event, as well as what can be earned and farmed.
Overview
Blood Harvest comes in the form of a new type of content similar to Helltides, but with its own unique mechanics, drops, and activities to take part in. Blood Harvest offers another highly sought after open world content, allowing players to jump straight into this new content without having to reach certain milestones before participating.
During Season 2, Blood Harvest will be the most efficient way to get all newly added Diablo 4 items. Although some activities have a chance to occur in normal content, such as dungeons or the normal open world, and loot also has a chance to drop in normal activities.
How To Start Blood Harvest?
Players can begin taking part in Blood Harvest from the moment a character logs into the world at level 1. As characters advance to higher difficulty levels, Blood Harvest will simply scale and remain active on the map.
Blood Harvest will always be active even if the player reaches a Helltides-enabled difficulty level. After reaching World Tier 3, Helltides start spawning on the map, and we will activate both Helltides and Blood Harvest. Once a Blood Harvest ends, another Blood Harvest will immediately spawn in another area of the map.
Loot
Taking part in various activities in an active Blood Harvest will reward a variety of new items, some of which can be used to enhance our new Vampiric Power. While others can directly increase Vampiric Power already earned by using items found in this seasonal content.
Of course, you can also trade the duplicate items you acquire with other players for early Diablo 4 Gold accumulation.
Seekers Keys
As players roam the active Blood Harvest map, they need to start looking for Seeker Caches that require Seekers Keys to open.
Potent Blood
Early in Season 2, the most important new currency for farming maps will be Potent Blood. This will allow the character to unlock random Vampiric Powers or upgrade existing ones.
Pact Armor
The new Vampiric Power in Season 2 comes at a cost, requiring a certain amount of Pact. There are 3 types of Pact, namely Ferocity, Divinity, and Eternity. Pact Armor will come with a certain amount of these three stats, and your Vampiric Power will require a specific amount of these stats to activate.
Blood Lures
You can summon Blood Seekers with Blood Lures at specific locations on the map, and when defeated, they drop rare seasonal materials.
Activity
Unlike Helltides, any materials obtained from activities in Blood Harvest will remain with the player even after the area’s Blood Harvest ends.
Random Events
Random Events are a staple in Diablo 4 Season 2, with random events spawning around affected Blood Harvest maps. Usually involves completing a short-term goal before receiving a reward.
Blood Well
They will scatter Blood Well around Blood Harvest areas and require Blood Lures to spawn Blood Seekers. They cost 15, 25 and 50 respectively. The 50s cost in sets of 3 and require 150 Blood Lures to activate. These spawn multiple Blood Seekers and multiple Helltides-like bosses.
If you fail to completely fill all 3 Blood Wells, you will not regain previously spent Blood Lures. So make sure you or your team have enough resources to fill all 3 wells properly.
Blood Seekers
Blood Seekers are a Vampiric version of the character class that will invade players at any given location. However, in Blood Harvest, players can use Blood Lures at specific locations to summon them directly without waiting for random encounters. These enemies also have a high chance of dropping Potent Blood.
Tree Of Whispers
Tree of Whispers has also been added in the new season to accompany Blood Harvest. As before, players must clear specific targets at designated locations. But now, if Whispers are given within Blood Harvest zone, they will receive rewards unique to the new season mechanic.
Hunter’s Acclaim
Another mechanic coming to Season 2 is Hunter’s Acclaim, a new reputation system. Blood Harvest is an excellent place to get this reputation. Because every activity completed in Blood Harvest will grant this new reputation.
That’s everything you need to know about Diablo 4 Season 2 Blood Harvest event. Hopefully, this guide can help you get off to a better start in Season 2.
