HoYoverse's Genshin Impact should take one of the things from its other game, Honkai: Star Rail, that will make the sport much easier for those players.
Between HoYoverse's two prominent games right now, Honkai: Star Rail and Genshin Impact, it's reasonable to visualize that the former offers better quality-of-life features compared to the latter. Despite their gameplay differences, Honkai: Star Rail and Genshin Impact share some similarities, for example, gacha features and farming mechanics, however, it seems that Honkai: Star Rail improves on a number of Genshin Impact's flaws. However, Honkai: Star Rail has a particular mechanic that Genshin Impact should take for itself to enhance players' experience: the Support System.
As Honkai: Star Rail is really a turn-based RPG having a four-character party in battles, the Support System allows players to exchange their fourth member with another player's character. Not to be confused with characters who follow supporting Paths like Abundance, Harmony, Nihility, and Preservation, support characters could be any character that players choose. Having the choice to exchange a weak unit with another player's stronger character makes farming battles much easier in Honkai: Star Rail and Genshin Impact should adopt the feature itself in a future update.
Breakdown of Honkai: Star Rail's Support System
The Support System is available for those of Honkai: Star Rail's farming activities. Players can borrow other players' characters in Calyxes (both Gold and Crimson), Stagnant Shadows, Caverns of Corrosion, and Echoes of War. It's a particularly convenient feature because each unique battle requires characters of specific elements to cope with certain enemies' weaknesses.
The way the Support System works is straightforward. All players need to do is choose the challenge they would like to undergo and become put into the selection menu. To the right from the menu is a "Support" button, that will provide a listing of characters from either friends or random players. The levels of support characters are equal to the borrowing players' Equilibrium Level and character level cap. For instance, players at Equilibrium Level 2 will only be in a position to rent level 50 characters and below. However, friends' support characters can exceed the amount cap.
The Support System is not just useful, however, it's a really fun feature that allows players to test characters they don't own. Players not just can check out 4-star characters, but, they can borrow 5-star characters too, for example, the recently released Silver Wolf. Players can set just one support character for other people to use by accessing Trailblazer Profiles, so when one player's support character can be used by other players, they gain credits that could be collected.
Why Genshin Impact Needs a Support System As Well
Although Genshin Impact's gameplay differs from Honkai: Star Rail, a number of Genshin Impact's activities can use a similar Support System for a better gameplay experience. Genshin Impact has four types of Domains in which a Support System might be appropriate and handy: Domains of Forgery, Domains of Blessing, Domains of Mastery, and Trounce Domains. Each domain has its very own distinct teams of enemies (or perhaps in the case of Trounce Domains, bosses) and players are recommended to construct teams with specific elements to be able to have an easier time defeating them.
Farming Domains isn't actually an issue when you have multiple well-built characters, however, for players who're at lower World Levels or have only weak characters, farming is commonly an arduous chore - particularly in particular Domains with troublesome enemies. Giving Genshin Impact players a Support System may help newer and lower-level players feel good while fighting in Domains by looking into making powerful 5-star characters like Al-Haitham and Kaedehara Kazuha readily available for rent.
As Genshin Impact nears the introduction from the new nation of Fontaine into the sport, more Domains can look at new types of enemies. Lower-level players will require all the help they are able to get, a Support System would not just give players the assistance needed in Domains, but would also give players the opportunity to test characters they've never owned. Fontaine will even introduce new characters too, so HoYoverse should think about adding the machine by that update.
Honkai: Star Rail can be obtained now on Mobile and PC. PS4 and PS5 versions have been in development.
